KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Five teams from the Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference (KCAC) were recognized in the latest edition of the
STADIONIC NAIA Football Coaches' Poll, the national office announced Monday.
Two teams were ranked in the Top 15, and both held the same positions they occupied in the previous edition of the poll. Friends University remained at No. 8, while McPherson College remained at No. 15.
Three teams from the conference were part of the "Receiving Votes" category of the poll. Evangel University moved down from No. 24 to the "Receiving Votes" category, joining Kansas Wesleyan University and Southwestern College in that section of the poll.
The next edition of the
STADIONIC NAIA Football Coaches' Poll is scheduled to be released Monday, October 5.
TOP FIVE CAPSULES
T1. College of Idaho (4-0)
College of Idaho made a statement Saturday with a 35-19 win over Montana Tech in a No. 2 vs. No. 3 matchup. Now 4-0, the Yotes host Simpson (Calif.) in a Frontier West matchup, Saturday at 1 p.m. MT. The Yotes vaulted to fourth in the NAIA in scoring, averaging nearly 49 points per game.
T1. Keiser (Fla.) (2-1)
Keiser passed a previously unbeaten test Saturday, separating in the second half against Cumberlands (Ky.) in a 58-21 win over the Patriots, who were 4-0 going into the game. The Seahawks are 3-1 and they open conference play Saturday with a 26-game win streak in The Sun on the line at Thomas (Ga.).
3. Indiana Wesleyan (4-0)
Indiana Wesleyan is scoring at a historic rate in 2026, second in the NAIA at 55.8 points per game, coming off of a bye to host Judson (Ill.) at Noon ET. The Wildcats look to get to 5-0 in the game, led by Campbell Trophy semifinalist and quarterback Arjun Lothe, as well as Ryan Whitwell, who is one of two players in the NAIA with 10 or more touchdowns on the ground. Whitwell leads the NAIA with more than 178 yards per game on the ground, piling up 713 rushing yards through four games.
4. Benedictine (Kan.) (5-1)
Benedictine pitched its first shutout of the season and improved to 4-1 with a 34-0 win on Family Day in Atchison over St. Ambrose (Iowa). Since dropping the season opener Aug. 29, the Ravens are holding opponents under eight points per game. Benedictine opens Heart South play Saturday, hosting nationally ranked Baker at 1 p.m.
5. Grand View (Iowa) (4-1)
Grand View bounced back from its first loss in 73 regular-season games by taking down MidAmerica Nazarene (Kan.) 35-13 in Olathe, Saturday. The Vikings open Heart North play on homecoming at Noon CT this week, hosting Clarke (Iowa). Grand View is one of five teams in the NAIA holding opponents to less than 10 points per game (fifth, at 9.6), and the Vikings are third nationally against the run, allowing opponents just 52 yards per game on the ground.
