KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Davin Hinote of No. 12 Kansas Wesleyan University was named the NAIA Baseball Pitcher of the Week, the national office announced Tuesday. On Monday, Hinote earned the KCAC Baseball Pitcher of the Week honor. In both instances, Hinote was honored for his performances from March 23-29.

Carter Claerhout of No. 3 Bellevue (Neb.) was named the NAIA Baseball Player of the Week this week.

Hinote tossed a no-hitter against York on Tuesday in a mid-week conference contest. It is the first no-hitter for a KWU pitcher since 2014. He went the distance in the game which KWU won 12-0, issuing one walk and striking out five along the way.
