Quintana and Tarafa Earn KCAC Baseball Weekly Honors

KANSAS — Adrian Quintana of No. 20 Ottawa University and Eduardo Tarafa of Bethany College have earned the KCAC Baseball Pitcher and Player of the Week honors, respectively, the conference office announced Monday. The two student-athletes were selected for their performances from March 16-22 by a vote of conference sports information directors. All KCAC Player of the Week honors are presented by Athletic Solutions.
 
 

Pitcher of the Week

Adrian Quintana - #20 Ottawa University

Jr. | P/OF | El Paso, Texas

In his only appearance last week, Quintana pitched a complete-game shutout. In seven innings, he struck out five, only allowed one walk, and Reinhardt had a .200 batting average against him. This marks the second time this season Quintana has been named the KCAC Baseball Pitcher of the Week.

Player of the Week

Eduardo Tarafa - Bethany College

Tarafa had a solid week, leading the Swedes to a 3-1 record this week. Tarafa batted home a quarter of Bethany's total runs scored, including a couple of home runs against the Spires. One of those home runs against Saint Mary was a game-winner in the ninth inning of Game 1 against the Spires.
