KANSAS — Maddy Meierer of No. 25 Evangel University and Brookelynn Becker of Ottawa University have earned the KCAC Softball Pitcher and Player of the Week honors, respectively, the conference office announced Monday. The two student-athletes were selected for their performances from Feb. 2-8 by a vote of conference sports information directors. All KCAC Player of the Week honors are presented by

Returning from a dominant 2025 season, Evangel's Maddy Meierer picked up right where she left off last weekend, providing a pair of wins in the circle, 6-0 over Olivet Nazarene and 16-3 over Crowley's Ridge (5 innings). Meierer struck out 14 batters, allowing just three combined hits and did not allow a single run over the weekend, as EU opened the year 4-0 at the Branson Bash.

Brookelynn Becker - Ottawa University

In four games last week, Brookelynn Becker hit .667 (10-for-15). She scored eight runs, hit four doubles and three triples, drove in seven runs, had a 1.333 slugging percentage, was hit by a pitch once, had a .688 on base percentage, and was 1-for-1 in stolen base attempts. In the win over No. 16 Missouri Baptist, she was 2-for-4 at the plate, scoring one run, hitting two doubles, and drove in a run.
