KANSAS — Karlee Locke of Bethel College and Cassidy Hambelton of No. 17 Evangel University have earned the KCAC Women's Basketball Offensive and Defensive Player of the Week honors, respectively, the conference office announced Monday. The two student-athletes were selected for their performances from Feb. 2-8 by a vote of conference sports information directors. All KCAC Player of the Week honors are presented by
Athletic Solutions.

Junior guard Karlee Locke led Bethel to a perfect 2-0 road week, averaging 23.0 points per game while shooting an efficient 54.3% from the field. Locke erupted for 27 points on 12-of-20 shooting in an 85-75 win at Sterling, then followed with 19 points in a 72-65 victory at Avila, connecting on 4-of-9 from three. This marks the third consecutive week in which Locke has earned a KCAC Women's Basketball weekly honor, and is the fourth time overall this season she has received a conference honor.

Defensive Player of the Week
Cassidy Hambelton - #17 Evangel University

Hambelton continues to be a catalyst for Evangel both offensively and defensively. The grad student came away with nine steals last week, and passed off 18 assists to lead EU. Hambelton averaged 11.3 points per game as EU went 3-0, earning their 20th win of the season on Saturday. This marks the second time this season Hambelton has been named the KCAC Women's Basketball Defensive Player of the Week.
