KANSAS — Ringo Deng of No. 14 Friends University and Zach Hidalgo of Southwestern College have earned the KCAC Men's Basketball Offensive and Defensive Player of the Week honors, respectively, the conference office announced Monday. The two student-athletes were selected for their performances from Dec. 29-Jan. 4 by a vote of conference sports information directors. All KCAC Player of the Week honors are presented by

Deng averaged a double-double of 17.5 ppg and 10.0 rebounds along with 5.0 assists to lead the No. 14-ranked Friends University Falcons to a pair of victories this past week. Deng scored 13 and had nine rebounds and six assists at Hastings before exploding for a stat line of 22 points, 11 boards and four assists vs. Ottawa. Deng is averaging 11.9 ppg and is tops on the team in rebounding with 6.6 rpg and is second in assists (3.9 apg).

Defensive Player of the Week

Hildago anchored the Southwestern defense by averaging 13.0 rebounds per game over two starts, pulling down 26 total boards (with 19 on the defensive end) while logging 26.5 minutes per contest. He added three blocks on the week and committed just one turnover, consistently controlling the paint and limiting second-chance opportunities. In the conference game against York, Hildago finished with 12 rebounds, including seven defensive boards, and two blocks in 32 minutes, providing a strong interior presence and reliable defensive effort throughout the week.
