KANSAS — Tamaje Izuagbe of No. 4 Oklahoma Wesleyan University and Ringo Deng of No. 14 Friends University have earned the KCAC Men's Basketball Offensive and Defensive Player of the Week honors, respectively, the conference office announced Tuesday. The two student-athletes were selected for their performances from Jan. 19-25 by a vote of conference sports information directors. All KCAC Player of the Week honors are presented by

Offensive Player of the Week
Tamaje Izuagbe - #4 Oklahoma Wesleyan University

Izuagbe scored 28 points on 60% shooting from the field (9 of 15) and 57.1% shooting from three-point range (4 of 7) in a narrow 75-72 victory over Evangel University. This marks the third consecutive week in which Izuagbe has earned a KCAC weekly honor, but the first time this season it has been on the offensive side of the ball.

Defensive Player of the Week
Ringo Deng - #14 Friends University

Deng recorded five steals, six defensive rebounds and one block to fuel the No. 14-ranked Friends University Falcons on the defensive end of a crucial 91-85 overtime victory at No. 25-ranked Bethel College and snap the Threshers' eight-game winning streak last Wednesday night (Jan. 21). Deng is averaging a team-high 4.2 defensive rebounds this season along with 1.6 steals. This is Deng's second KCAC weekly honor this season, but the first instance of him being the Defensive Player of the Week.
