KANSAS — Zach Anguish and Ella Wardle, both of Bethel University (Ind.), were named the KCAC Men's and Women's Swimmers of the Week, respectively, the conference office announced Thursday. Despite its name, this award covers a two-week period, in order to match with the NAIA swimming & diving biweekly honors. Both student-athletes were selected for their performances from Oct. 27-Nov. 9 by a vote of conference Sports Information Directors. All KCAC Player of the Week honors are presented by
Athletic Solutions.

Senior Zach Anguish took first in both the 1650 Yard Freestyle (16:31.98) and the 500 Free (5:51.78). In the 1650 Yard Freestyle, he hit the NAIA "B," or provisional, qualifying mark, while narrowly missing out on hitting the qualifying mark in the 500 Free. His performance helped the Pilots pick up wins over the University of Olivet and Alma College.

Hit Qualification Mark |
Freshman Ella Wardle set a new team record for the 200 IM with a time of 2:08.89. Wardle also took fourth in the 100 Fly with a time of 59.77, continuing her outstanding breakout season. This marks the second time this season Wardle has been named the KCAC Women's Swimmer of the Week.
