KCAC and ESPN 92.3 "Road to Hartman" Doubleheader of the Week: Tabor at York

WICHITA, Kan. — This week's KCAC "Road to Hartman" Doubleheader of the Week, presented by ESPN Wichita 92.3, will be the women's and men's basketball games between Tabor College and York University on Wednesday, January 31, the conference office announced Tuesday. The women's game will tip off at 6 PM CST, with the men's to follow at 8 PM CST. 

In its second year, this series highlights KCAC teams throughout conference play with radio broadcasts on ESPN Wichita 92.3 FM, as teams aim to make it to the KCAC Men's and Women's Basketball Championship finals at Hartman Arena on March 4, 2024. Pat Strathman, the Sports Director of ESPN Wichita 92.3 FM, will be on the call for these broadcasts. 
 


  
The Tabor women's basketball team is 16-4 so far this season, with a 13-1 mark in conference play, tied for the No. 1 spot in the KCAC women's basketball standings. The Bluejays are currently on a four-game winning streak. Tabor's last game was against Evangel University on Saturday at home in Hillsboro, which the Bluejays won 68-67 in double overtime.

York's women's basketball team currently holds a 5-13 record on the season, with a 4-10 record in the KCAC. The Panthers are on a two-game winning streak, with their most recent game being an 85-69 road victory over McPherson College on Monday.

The Bluejays and Panthers have faced off against each other once already this season, on November 18 in Hillsboro, with the Bluejays winning that game 88-47.
 

The Tabor men's basketball team is currently 8-12 on the season, with a 5-9 record in the KCAC. The Bluejays will be looking to snap a three-game losing streak when they take on the Panthers. Tabor's most recent game was against Evangel University at home in Hillsboro on Saturday, in which the Bluejays fell 86-75 to the Valor.

The Panther men are 7-13 on the season, with a 5-9 record in the conference. Like Tabor, York is on a three-game losing streak they are looking to snap with a win. Their most recent contest was on Monday at McPherson College, in which the Panthers lost 79-59 to the Bulldogs.

These teams have matched up against each other once already this season, on November 18 in Hillsboro. The Panthers won that game 79-76 on a Trevon Dennis three-pointer with one second left.
