Scott and Scognamillo Earn KCAC Men's Soccer Weekly Honors

KANSAS — Cale Scott of No. 16 Ottawa University and Ben Scognamillo of Friends University have earned this week's KCAC Men's Soccer Offensive and Defensive Player of the Week honors, respectively, the conference office announced Tuesday. The two student-athletes were selected for their performances from Sept. 14-20 by a vote of conference sports information directors. All KCAC Player of the Week honors are presented by Athletic Solutions.
 
 

Offensive Player of the Week

Cale Scott - #16 Ottawa University

R-Jr. | F | Lawrence, Kan.

Scott had another outstanding week for the Braves, leading Ottawa to a 2-0 record in conference play with wins over University of Saint Mary and Bethel. This marks the second consecutive week in which Scott has been named the KCAC Men's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week, and the second time overall on the season he has earned the honor.

Defensive Player of the Week

Ben Scognamillo - Frinds University

Jr. | MF | Wichita, Kan.

Scognamillo anchored two shutouts defensively this past week for the Friends University Falcons. Friends won 8-0 at Southwestern College and 1-0 at Kansas Wesleyan University, with Scognamillo fueling a defensive unit that surrendered just two shots on goal each match. Scognaillo and the Falcons now have three shutouts on the season.
