Schenfeld and Neri Earn KCAC Men's Soccer Weekly Honors

KANSAS — Cristobal Schenfeld of Kansas Wesleyan University and Alex Neri of No. 16 Ottawa University have earned this week's KCAC Men's Soccer Offensive and Defensive Player of the Week honors, respectively, the conference office announced Monday. The two student-athletes were selected for their performances from Aug. 24-30 by a vote of conference sports information directors. All KCAC Player of the Week honors are presented by Athletic Solutions.
 
 

Offensive Player of the Week

Cristobal Schenfeld - Kansas Wesleyan University

Jr. | MF | Santiago, Chile

Schenfeld had an outstanding week for the Coyotes. In the one match against Doane, he scored four goals, including recording a hat trick in the first half. He added a fourth goal in the second half to help the Coyotes get the first win of the season and the first for coach Cody Bartlow at KWU.

Defensive Player of the Week

Alex Neri - #16 Ottawa University

Sr. | GK | Frosinone, Lazio, Italy

Neri turned in a commanding performance on Thursday night, recording five saves during Ottawa's 1-0 upset of No. 3 MidAmerica Nazarene.
