KANSAS — Tiyna Ridge and Aneesa Sheppard, both of Friends University, have earned the KCAC Women's Indoor Track and Field Athlete of the Week honors, respectively, the conference office announced Monday. The two student-athletes were selected for their performances from Jan. 12-18 by a vote of conference sports information directors. All KCAC Player of the Week honors are presented by

Tiyna Ridge - Friends University
Jr. | Edmond, Okla.
Ridge hit an NAIA "A" Qualifying Standard for the third consecutive meet, this time recording a PR in the Women's 60 Meter run with a mark of 7.44 that improves upon her own school and KCAC all-time record. Ridge's time is also second best in the NAIA this season. This marks the second consecutive week in which Ridge has been named the KCAC Women's Indoor Track Athlete of the Week.

Aneesa Sheppard - Friends University
Jr. | San Antonio, Texas
Sheppard hit her second NAIA national standard of the season, this time hitting the NAIA "B" Qualifying Standard while winning the Triple Jump at this past Friday's (Jan. 16) Washburn Rust Buster meet. Sheppard currently holds the top mark in the KCAC this season, hitting that result (12.08m) at the same venue at the Washburn Alumni Invite back on Dec. 6.
