KANSAS — Tiyna Ridge and Abby Green, both of Friends University, have earned the KCAC Women's Indoor Track and Field Athlete of the Week honors, respectively, the conference office announced Tuesday. The two student-athletes were selected for their performances from Jan. 5-11 by a vote of conference sports information directors. All KCAC Player of the Week honors are presented by

Track Athlete of the Week
Tiyna Ridge - Friends University
Jr. | Edmond, Okla.
Ridge ran an NAIA "A" Qualifying Standard time of 7.48 in the preliminaries of the Women's 60 Meter run Saturday (Jan. 10) at the Friends University First Chance Qualifier at Wichita State University. Ridge currently ranks first in both the KCAC and the NAIA in the event, as she had already broke the school and KCAC record in the event back in December. Ridge now holds two of the top 100 all-time marks in the 60 meter run in NAIA history.
Field Athlete of the Week
Abby Green - Friends University
Sr. | Newton, Kan.
Green won the Women's Weight Throw with a PR of 16.57m this past Saturday (Jan. 10) at the Friends University First Chance Qualifier at Wichita State University. The mark ranks second all-time in school history and currently ranks first in the KCAC this season.
