Three KCAC Student-Athletes Named to NAIA Softball All-America Teams

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Three student-athletes from the Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference (KCAC) were recognized on one of the three NAIA Softball All-America teams, the national office announced Tuesday. Macy Roever of Ottawa University was named to the All-America Second Team, while Riley Wertz of Friends University and Maddy Meierer of Evangel University both earned a spot on the All-America Third Team.

Roever was named the KCAC Softball Player of the Year in late April. She finished the season with a .472 batting average, scoring 62 runs and hitting six doubles, nine triples, and two home runs. Roever had 33 RBI, a .656 slugging percentage, had a .533 on base percentage, and stole 65 bases. Roever ranked sixth in the NAIA in triples (9) and third in stolen bases (65).

Wertz and Meierer were two of the top pitchers in the KCAC on the season, with Wertz being named the KCAC Softball Pitcher of the Year.

Wertz finished fourth in the NAIA with a school single-season (modern-era) record 248 strikeouts along with a 22-8 record in pitching the Falcons to their first KCAC regular season championship since 2016. She wrapped up the season with a 1.92 ERA while limiting opposing hitters to a .201 batting average.

Meierer finished the 2025 season with the lowest ERA in the nation (0.88) and finished with a 24-6 record, the most wins for a pitcher in a single season at Evangel. Meierer also recorded 198 strikeouts and allowed opponents just a .167 batting average at the plate.

Southern Oregon freshman Ayla Davies was named the 2025 NAIA Pitcher of the Year after a stellar first season in the circle for the Raiders. Analise Rayburn of Oklahoma City garnered 2025 NAIA Player of the Year honors.

Davies was an ace this season for SOU, appearing in 53 games, starting in 39, and tossing 36 complete games. She threw a total of 297.0 innings, posting a 1.20 ERA with 312 strikeouts and only 42 walks on the season.

Rayburn was a staple in the offensive lineup for the Stars, starting in all 64 games on the OCU schedule this season. With a .486 season batting average, she was 103-for-212 with 25 doubles, three triples, 28 home runs, 71 runs, and 102 RBI.
