WICHITA, Kan. — Cameron Chase of Friends University and Cole Broughton of No. 22 Ottawa University have earned the KCAC Baseball Pitcher and Player of the Week honors, respectively, the conference office announced Monday. The two student-athletes were selected for their performances from March 10-16 by a vote of conference sports information directors. All KCAC Player of the Week honors are presented by

Cameron Chase - Friends University
Jr. | LHP | Colorado Springs, Colo.
Chase produced the best start of his career for the Friends University Falcons, shutting out the Swedes on three hits with five strikeouts and four walks across a seven-inning complete game. Chase is now 2-0 on the year with 20 strikeouts and a 5.22 ERA across 29.1 innings this season.

Cole Broughton - #22 Ottawa University

In four games last week, Broughton hit .611 (11-for-18). He scored eight runs, hit one double, one triple, and one home run. Broughton drove in nine runs, had a .944 slugging percentage, a .579 on base percentage, and was 3-for-3 in stolen base attempts. This marks the second consecutive week in which Broughton has been named the KCAC Baseball Player of the Week, and the second time overall this season he has earned the honor.
