KANSAS — Cam Edwards of the (RV) University of Saint Mary and Eli Benning of No. 24 Friends University have earned the KCAC Men's Basketball Offensive and Defensive Player of the Week honors, respectively, the conference office announced Monday. The two student-athletes were selected for their performances from Nov. 3-9 by a vote of conference sports information directors. All KCAC Player of the Week honors are presented by Athletic Solutions.
Offensive Player of the Week

Edwards has been huge for the Spires who are off to a hot start at 5-0. Against Midland, he had 24 points, shot 10-16 on field goals, and dished out five assists. In the Spires' showdown against Baker, he tallied 22 points and five assists, and followed that up the next day with another impressive performance (20 points, two assists) against Benedictine.

Benning was a defensive force on the perimeter for the No. 24-ranked Friends University Falcons, recording a whopping 12 steals in a big 78-75 victory over (RV) Dordt University on Friday (Nov. 7). He also had a block in a 97-67 win over William Woods University. Benning is now tops in the KCAC with 5.3 steals per game.
