2025-26 KCAC Men's Basketball All-Conference Honors Announced

KANSAS — The Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference is pleased to announce the 2025-26 KCAC Men's Basketball all-conference teams and award winners. Student-athletes were selected for all awards by vote of the KCAC head men's basketball coaches.

Oklahoma Wesleyan University took home the regular-season conference title for the fifth consecutive season, with a 20-2 record in conference play, as part of a 25-3 overall record. The Eagles received three individual conference honors, with Tamaje Izuagbe being named the KCAC Men's Basketball Player of the Year, Jaden Wilson earning the KCAC Men's Basketball Defensive Player of the Year award, and Donnie Bostwick being named the KCAC Men's Basketball Coach of the Year by his peers.

Izuagbe's all-around game made an impression on the coaches of the conference. During the regular season, he averaged 17.0 points per game (first on his team) on 52.7% shooting, while adding 5.9 rebounds per game (led the Eagles) and dishing out 1.5 assists per game. On the defensive end, he averaged 1.2 steals per game and 0.9 blocks per game. On the conference level, he ranked sixth in points per game, tied for 11th in rebounds per game, and was tied for sixth in blocks per game.

Wilson was honored for being a leader on a defense that ranked fourth in the NAIA in opponents' turnovers per game (18.0), fourth in the NAIA in steals per game (11.6), 

Korbin Gunn of McPherson College was named the KCAC Men's Basketball Freshman of the Year. Gunn led the KCAC in points per game (19.2) and assists per game (4.6), and helped lead the Bulldogs to a six-game improvement in conference wins compared to last season (10-12 in KCAC play in 2024-25, 16-6 in 2025-26) and a top four finish in the final conference standings.

Caiden Punt of Kansas Wesleyan University earned the KCAC Men's Basketball Newcomer of the Year honor. Punt led the Coyotes in points per game (16.0), rebounds per game (6.7), steals per game (1.2), and ranked fourth on his team in assists per game (2.1).

The following athletes were selected by the conference men's basketball coaches as All-KCAC First Team, Second Team, Third Team, Honorable Mention, Defensive Team, and Freshman Team.
