AUSTIN, Texas — Ander Bengoetxea of Tabor College was named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) NAIA Men's Soccer Academic All-America second team, the organization announced Tuesday.
Bengoetxea, a junior majoring in Data Science & Mathematics, holds a 3.77 GPA. He was a KCAC Men's Soccer Scholar-Athlete, a Daktronics NAIA Men's Soccer Scholar-Athlete, and was named to the All-KCAC second team. Bengoetxea had 11 goals and nine assists on the year for a total of 31 points.
The NAIA Academic All-America teams had an 3.82 average GPA. Guido Cacciabue of St. Thomas University (Fla.) was named the NAIA Men's Soccer Academic All-America Team Member of the Year.
The NAIA Academic All-America® program is being financially supported by the NAIA national governance structure to assist CSC with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2023-24 NAIA Academic All-America® program.
