KANSAS — Maria Andrea Santa Cruz Cossich of Oklahoma Wesleyan University, and Dalaina Schutte and Abby Koontz, both of Bethel College, have earned this week's KCAC Women's Volleyball Attacker, Setter, and Defender of the Week honors, respectively, the conference office announced Monday. The three student-athletes were selected for their performances from Aug. 31-Sept. 6 by a vote of conference sports information directors. All KCAC Player of the Week honors are presented by
Athletic Solutions.
Attacker of the Week
Maria Andrea Santa Cruz Cossich - Oklahoma Wesleyan University
Jr. | OH/OPP | Guatemala City, Guatemala
Oklahoma Wesleyan went 3-1 last week, with Cossich's play being a key factor. She tallied 79 kills in four matches (4.94/set) as the Eagles picked up three non-conference victories. She also happened to contribute on the defensive end, accumulating 40 digs on the week (2.5/set). This marks the second time this season Cossich has been named the KCAC Women's Volleyball Attacker of the Week.
