Nielsen and Mulrooney Earn KCAC Women's Soccer Weekly Honors

KANSAS — Frederikke Nielsen of No. 15 Oklahoma Wesleyan University and Neve Mulrooney of Tabor College have earned this week's KCAC Women's Soccer Offensive and Defensive Player of the Week honors, respectively, the conference office announced Monday. The two student-athletes were selected for their performances from Sept. 21-27 by a vote of conference sports information directors. All KCAC Player of the Week honors are presented by Athletic Solutions.
 
 

Offensive Player of the Week

Frederikke Nielsen - #15 Oklahoma Wesleyan University

Sr. | MF | Randers, Denmark


Nielsen score four of her team's 15 goals on the week, as the Eagles picked up an 8-0 victory over Ottawa University and a 7-0 victory over Bethel College. Her standout performance was against Ottawa, where she scored three goals on four shots. She followed that up by scoring one goal in the win over Bethel. This marks the second time this season Nielsen has been named the KCAC Women's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week.

Defensive Player of the Week

Neve Mulrooney - Tabor College

Jr. | GK| Harpenden, England


Mulrooney had an outstanding week in goal for Tabor, recording two clean sheets and six saves, helping the Bluejays win their third straight match in conference play. Through only six matches played, she currently is tied for the lead in the KCAC and is tied for eighth in the NAIA with four clean sheets on the season.
