Murape was a part of a stout KWU defense that limited Hesston to 55 yards of total offense. Hesston averaged 1.3 yards per play in the game. There weren't a lot of defensive opportunities as Hesston had 27 incompletions and only four rushing attempts in the game. Hesston only crossed its own 20 yard line twice, once to its own 21, and then on the last drive of the game.
