KANSAS — Jamie Odom of No. 17 Southwestern College, Jonavan Asuncion of (RV) McPherson College, and Truitt Bosher of No. 7 Friends University have earned this week's KCAC Football Offensive, Defensive, and Special Teams Player of the Week honors, respectively, the conference office announced Monday. The three student-athletes were selected for their performances from Sept. 22-28 by a vote of conference sports information directors. All KCAC Player of the Week honors are presented by
Equity Bank.
Offensive Player of the Week
Jamie Odom - #17 Southwestern College
6-2 | 210 lbs. | Jr. | QB | San Diego, Calif.
Odom turned in a remarkable performance at quarterback for Southwestern football, throwing for 416 yards and six touchdowns in the team's 80-14 victory over Bethany College. He was highly efficient, completing 13 of 16 passes for an 81.3 percent completion rate and averaging an incredible 26.0 yards per attempt. Odom finished with a perfect stat line that included no interceptions, no sacks, and a staggering 423.4 pass efficiency rating. His explosive play and flawless execution led the offense with one of the most dominant passing performances of the season. This marks the second consecutive week in which Odom has been named the KCAC Football Offensive Player of the Week, and the second time overall this season he has earned the honor.

Defensive Player of the Week
Jonavan Asuncion - (RV) McPherson College
5-11 | 215 lbs. | So. | LB | Mission Viejo, Calif.
The sophomore from California had a tremendous day in McPherson's 70-28 win over Ottawa this past Saturday. Asuncion would score on a 100+ yard pick-six while racking up six total tackles and a strip sack accompanied by a pass-breakup. This was Asunción's second long-distance pick-six of the season.

Special Teams Player of the Week
Truitt Bosher - #7 Friends University
6-0 | 205 lbs. | Fr. | K/P | Burleson, Texas
Freshman Truitt Bosher continued his impressive start as a Friends University Falcons with perhaps the best game of his career, connecting on all three of his field-goal attempts while going 6-of-6 on extra point attempts in the No. 7 Falcons' romp of (RV) Evangel University. Bosher's three successful field goals included hitting from a career-high 42 yards. The Burleson, Texas native also averaged 60.9 yards on 10 kickoff attempts in an all-around solid performance. Bosher has made all five of his field-goal attempts this season and 40-41 extra-point attempts.
