KANSAS — Houston Herrin of Bethel College, Erik Spring of (RV) Evangel University, and Preston Fansher of No. 18 Southwestern College have earned this week's KCAC Football Offensive, Defensive, and Special Teams Player of the Week honors, respectively, the conference office announced Monday. The three student-athletes were selected for their performances from Sept. 29-Oct. 5 by a vote of conference sports information directors. All KCAC Player of the Week honors are presented by
Equity Bank.

Houston Herrin - Bethel College

In Bethel's 34-26 win over Sterling, freshman quarterback Houston Herrin delivered a breakout performance. He went 17-for-24 for 275 yards and three touchdowns through the air while adding 142 rushing yards and two more scores on the ground. Herrin accounted for 417 total yards and five total touchdowns.

Spring had a strong defensive game for Evangel in a 7-6 victory over (RV) Kansas Wesleyan. Spring finished with 12 total tackles and came away with the game-sealing interception late in the fourth quarter, as EU took the win heading into the bye week.

Fansher delivered a flawless performance in the team's 62-0 victory over Avila. Fansher was perfect in the kicking game, converting his lone field goal attempt from 35 yards and going a perfect eight-for-eight on extra points. His consistency and accuracy accounted for 11 total points, contributing significantly to the team's win.
