Ciara Schott Named Head Cheer Coach at Bethel College

NORTH NEWTON, Kan. — Bethel College has announced the hiring of Ciara Schott as the new head coach for Thresher Cheer. Schott brings a strong background in competitive cheer and tumbling, along with recent national-level success at the NAIA level.

"We are excited to have Ciara join Thresher Nation," said Bethel Athletic Director Tim Swartzendruber. "Her experience will be a huge asset for us, and I am impressed with her enthusiasm and energy. I am confident Ciara can build this squad into a competitive group."

Schott comes to Bethel after three seasons at Missouri Baptist University, where she served as head coach for both the STUNT and All-Girl Cheer programs. Under her leadership, the Spartans were NAIA STUNT National runners-up in 2025 and placed fourth in the NAIA All-Girl Advanced Division at the NCA (National Cheerleaders Association) College Nationals.

In addition to her collegiate coaching, Schott has coached All-Star Cheer at Flipside Empire as both a head coach and tumbling coach. Her strengths lie in stunting, tumbling, and choreographing elite-level competitive cheer routines.

"I am excited to lead and rebuild Bethel Cheer," Schott said. "I have big goals to cultivate a competitive spirit within the KCAC. The vision is to create a dynamic and thriving program that empowers student-athletes both academically and athletically. I am looking to grow our roster size so that for the 2026-2027 season we are competitive in the KCAC and are prepared to establish a presence at NCA (National Cheerleaders Association) College Nationals in Daytona, Florida."

Schott's passion for the sport and experience at the national level position her well to lead the Threshers into a new era of growth and competitiveness.
