Iwata and Kaufmann Earn KCAC Women's Flag Football Weekly Honors

WICHITA, Kan. — Chihiro Iwata of Kansas Wesleyan University and Susann Kaufmann of Ottawa University have earned the KCAC Women's Flag Football Offensive and Defensive Player of the Week honors, respectively, the conference office announced Monday. The two student-athletes were selected for their performances from March 31-April 6 by a vote of conference sports information directors. All KCAC Player of the Week honors are presented by Equity Bank.

Iwata had 310 yards passing, going 24 of 31 passing with five touchdowns as KWU beat Saint Mary 38-15. She helped KWU jump out to a 32-0 lead in the game before halftime. This is the second consecutive week in which Iwata has been named the KCAC Women's Flag Football Offensive Player of the Week, and marks the third time overall this season she has earned the honor.

This is the second consecutive week in which Kaufmann has been named the KCAC Women's Flag Football Defensive Player of the Week, and marks the second time overall this season that she has earned the honor.
