WICHITA, Kan. — Ciaran DeCuir and Angel Roman, both of Kansas Wesleyan University, have earned the KCAC Women's Flag Football Offensive and Defensive Player of the Week honors, respectively, the conference office announced Monday. The two student-athletes were selected for their performances from March 17-23 by a vote of conference sports information directors. All KCAC Player of the Week honors are presented by Equity Bank.

DeCuir scored the game-winning touchdown and converted the game-winning two-point extra point for the Coyotes as they came from behind in the final minute of the game to beat Midland. DeCuir caught a pass and outraced everyone down the sideline for the score that got KWU within a point. She then caught the two-point PAT pass to put the Coyotes up 15-14.

Roman was big for the Coyotes as KWU came from behind to beat Midland. She had seven flag pulls in the game, and had two pass breakups. Her biggest defensive play came on Midland's last drive as she stopped the Warriors a yard short of a first down on a fourth down play that would have allowed Midland to win the game.
