Morgan Named KCAC Men's Wrestler of the Week

WICHITA, Kan. — Braden Morgan of (RV) Friends University has been named the KCAC Men's Wrestler of the Week, the conference office announced Monday. Morgan was selected for his performances from Feb. 3-9 by a vote of conference Sports Information Directors. All KCAC Player of the Week honors are presented by Equity Bank.

The NAIA's No. 11-ranked wrestler in the 285 lb. weight class, Morgan had quite a week for the Friends University, winning both of his dual matches. On Thursday (Feb. 13) against NCAA Div. II Newman University, the dual came down to the final bout as Morgan defeated No. 18-ranked (NCAA D-II Open Mat) Caleb Wunsch by a convincing 13-1 majority decision to give the Falcons the victory. He then pinned Devon Lolar of the No. 11-ranked University of Saint Mary Spires at the 2:05 mark. This marks the second time this season Morgan has been named the KCAC Men's Wrestler of the Week.
