Nelson Named KCAC Women's Wrestler of the Week

WICHITA, Kan. — Bailee Nelson of (RV) Friends University has been named the KCAC Women's Wrestler of the Week, the conference office announced Monday. Nelson was selected for her performances from Feb. 3-9 by a vote of conference Sports Information Directors. All KCAC Player of the Week honors are presented by Equity Bank.

Nelson, ranked No. 14 in the NAIA in the 180-pound division, captured fourth place at the Midland Warrior Open this past weekend. Nelson started strong with two pinfall victories, including a pin at the 2:43 mark over No. 20-ranked Hailey Romero of Doane University. Nelson went 3-2 overall at the Open. This marks the second time this season Nelson has been named the KCAC Women's Wrestler of the Week.
