Three Oklahoma Wesleyan Student-Athletes Named to NAIA Women's Soccer All-America Teams

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Three student-athletes from Oklahoma Wesleyan University earned a spot on one of the NAIA Women's Soccder All-America teams, the national office announced Tuesday. The NAIA All-America Committee consists of the NAIA-Women's Soccer Coaches Association officers and seven additional women's soccer coaches.

Laura Gieseler was the lone Eagle to receive First Team All-America honors. She led the KCAC in goals (25 total, including postseason) and points (47 total, including postseason). Gieseler was named both the KCAC Women's Soccer Most Valuable Player and the Offensive Player of the Year.

Fellow Eagles Elise Lofnertz and Wendy Jimenez were named to the NAIA All-America Second Team. Lofnertz was named the KCAC Women's Soccer Defensive Player of the Year in November for the second season in a row. Both Lofnertz and Jimenez played key roles on a defense that only allowed five goals all season (tied for the lead in the NAIA), led the NAIA in goals-against average (0.20/game), and led the NAIA in shutouts (20).

The 2025 Women's Soccer Player of the Year is Lauren Riley of Keiser (Fla.). Riley, a senior forward from Staffordshire, England, stepped on the pitch 24 times this season, starting all of those matches, ranking fifth in the NAIA for games started in 2025. When she wasn't scoring goals for the Seahawks, she was facilitating the goal scoring, with 19 goals of her own and 14 assists. Her 14 assists rank ninth in the association. Riley was crucial in helping Keiser win matches this season, scoring six game-winning goals, which ranks her sixth nationally in the category.

Fifty-three student-athletes across 28 programs received honors this season. The Knights of Marian (Ind.) and the Crusaders of William Carey (Miss.) posted the largest number of student-athletes across the three teams, with four each, while seven programs had three All-American honorees.

The 2025 Select Sport America-NAIA Women's Soccer National Coach of the Year will be announced in January.
