KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Oklahoma Wesleyan was ranked No. 8 in the latest edition of the NAIA Women's Soccer Coaches' Poll, the national office announced Wednesday. This is the highest ranking of the season so far for the Eagles.
The next edition of the NAIA Women's Soccer Coaches' Poll will be released Wednesday, October 15.
Poll Methodology
- The national poll is for publicity purposes only and does not influence the selection process for national championship consideration.
- A panel of head coaches representing each conference and the Continental Athletic Conference (Independents) votes in the poll.
- The Top 25 teams are selected using a points-based system:
- 30 points for a 1st-place vote, 29 for 2nd, 28 for 3rd, and so on.
- The highest and lowest rankings received by each team are discarded before final tallying.
- Teams receiving only one point are not listed as “receiving votes.”
- For the Preseason Poll, there is no "previous ranking" column since it is the initial poll and differs from the prior rating system.

1. Keiser (Fla.)
Record: 9-1
Notes: Keiser ranks sixth nationally in assists with 37 and ninth in total points with 105, having scored 34 goals this season. They have also been strong defensively, outscoring their opponents 34-5.

2. William Carey (Miss.)
Record: 9-1
Notes: William Carey (Miss.) leads the nation in points with 222, thanks to 75 goals, the most in the NAIA, and 72 assists, also the national high. The team has been balanced offensively, with four players reaching double digits in goals this season.
Up Next: This week, the Crusaders face Brewton-Parker College (Ga.) on Thursday and Thomas (Ga.) on Saturday.

Record: 10-0
Notes: Marian (Ind.) recorded a season-high eight goals in last week’s game against Goshen (Ind.), marking their 10th consecutive win of the season. The team also boasts two wins over ranked opponents so far this year

4. Cumberlands (Ky.)
Record: 8-1-3
Notes: Cumberlands has had a competitive slate this season, facing seven ranked teams and posting a 4-1-2 record against them. Last week, they rolled past Georgetown (Ky.) with a 12-0 shutout before defeating then-ranked No. 9 SCAD Savannah (Ga.) in a 1-0 decision.
Up Next: The Patriots will face (RV) Lindsey Wilson (Ky.) and No. 13 Truett McConnell (Ga.) on Wednesday and Saturday.

5. College of Idaho
Record: 7-1
Notes: The College of Idaho is riding a five-game winning streak and has yet to drop a conference match, starting 4-0 in Cascade play. The Yotes have outscored opponents 21-2 during that stretch, highlighted by a 10-0 win over Corban (Ore.)
Up Next: This week, the Yotes travel to face Eastern Oregon on Friday for their sole contest this week.

Record: 7-0-3
Notes: Missouri Valley has posted an unbeaten record up to this point in the season. Last week, they trumped William Woods (Mo.) 5-1 and Graceland (Iowa) 2-1.
