WICHITA, Kan. — Takiya Hill of No. 23 Ottawa University and Stephanie Hayes of Avila University have earned the KCAC Softball Pitcher and Player of the Week honors, respectively, the conference office announced Monday. The two student-athletes were selected for their performances from March 4-10 by a vote of conference sports information directors. All KCAC Player of the Week honors are presented by Equity Bank.
Pitcher of the Week
Takiya Hill - #23 Ottawa University
Sr. | P | Maricopa, Ariz.
In Hill's appearance against No. 18 Grand View University on Saturday, she had a 2.00 ERA, pitched a complete game, struck out four in seven innings, and the Vikings had a .130 batting average against her as the Braves picked up a win over a Top 20 opponent.

Player of the Week
Stephanie Hayes - Avila University

Hayes had a killer couple of days at the plate to help lead Avila softball to a 4-0 week. In the first KCAC doubleheader of the conference season, Hayes went a perfect 5-for-5, including three home runs and a double. Avila scored 14 runs over the two games against Bethany, and she drove in seven of them. Her third homer of the day was a go-ahead two-run shot off Lilliana Martinez that gave the Eagles the lead for the second time in their eventual win. Hayes continued her resurgent week by driving in four of Avila's 11 runs in a doubleheader against Westcliff, helping lead the Eagles to a pair of wins to begin their week-long trip to California. All told, Hayes drove in 11 runs on the week and produced a stellar round SLG of 1.500.
