Defensive Player of the Week
Nehemiah Figueroa - McPherson College
5-11 | 185 lbs. | R-Jr. | S | Boyertown, Pa.
Figueroa had a pair of interceptions Saturday to seal the comeback victory over the Sterling College Warriors. With the Bulldogs clinging to a 34-31 lead, Nehemiah Figueroa picked off Rocklin Baptista and returned it 42 yards. Then, on the next Warriors drive, Figueroa jumped a seam route to ice the game, returning that one for 43 yards. Earlier in the game, Figueroa punched the ball out, then fell on it for his first career fumble recovery. Figueroa leads the NAIA with three interceptions so far this season.

Special Team Player of the Week
Lorenzo Baptiste - No. 18 Avila University
5-10 | 165 lbs. | Fr. | WR/RET | North Miami, Fla.
At a time in the game when neither Avila's offense nor defense was able to deliver much, Lorenzo Baptiste broke out a game-changing play, a 91-yard kick return TD, his first collegiate score, to put some life into the Avila sideline. Ultimately the team attempted to rally back from down 30 points, energized in large part by the clutch special teams play.
