WICHITA, Kan. — Oklahoma Wesleyan University took home the top spot in both the 2023 KCAC Men's Basketball Preseason Coaches' and Media Polls, the conference office announced Thursday.
In the preseason coaches' poll, the Eagles earned the top spot with 168 total points and 12 of 14 first-place votes. Kansas Wesleyan University was in the No. 2 spot, accumulating 152 total points and one first-place vote. Southwestern College was right behind the Coyotes, ranked No. 3 in the preseason coaches' poll with 150 total points and the final first-place vote. Rounding out the top five in the coaches' poll were Evangel University at No. 4 (131 total points) and Bethel College at No. 5 (119 total points).

The top five in the Preseason Media Poll was the same as the coaches' poll and was in the same order, with Oklahoma Wesleyan in the top spot with 179 total points and 11 of 13 first-place votes. Kansas Wesleyan was in the No. 2 spot, tallying 160 total points and the final two first-place votes. Southwestern was ranked No. 3 with 158 total points, Evangel was in the No. 4 spot with 141 total points, and Bethel was No. 5 with 133 total points.
