2026 KCAC Men's and Women's Golf Match Play Events

Round 1 will be a stroke play qualifer to determine seeding for the Gold, Silver, and Bronze Brackets (no bronze bracket for the women's event this year). Match Play will then begin in Round 2. Play will begin at 8:30 a.m. on both days, for both men and women.
Matches will be played on a head-to-head basis with five team members matched against the other team. One point will be awarded for each match win. The team with the most match wins will advance in the bracket.
Matches will be 18 holes or until a player has a lead greater than the number of holes remaining. Any match tied at the end of the round will continue to play until a winner is determined.
NOTE: On the women's side, Sterling College, Southwestern College, and Kansas Wesleyan University will have a combined team once we enter match play, due to small roster sizes. The scores of their matches will not be live, and will be entered on the "Brackets" page (link below) once their rounds have ended.
SCHEDULE
SUNDAY, OCTOBER 18
- 1:00pm – Shotgun start practice rounds
- Approx. 6:00pm – Horserace Competition (one male and one female from each school)
- Each team will alternate shots between the male and female members of their two-person horserace team. After each hole, at least one team (if not more) will be eliminated based on score.
MONDAY, OCTOBER 19
- 8:30 AM Round 1: Stroke Play Qualifier (5 players from each team participate)
- Approx. 1:30 PM Round 2: Match Play

- Gold Bracket: Starting on Hole 10
- Silver Bracket: Starting on Hole 13
- Bronze Bracket: Starting on Hole 16
- Women
- Gold Bracket: Starting on Hole 1
- Silver Bracket: Starting on Hole 4
TUESDAY, OCTOBER 20
- Finish any Round 2 Matches that were not completed due to time/darkness.
- Approx. 8:30 AM Round 3 Matches
