MISHAWAKA, Ind. – Bethel University (Ind.) Athletics has named Isabela Nuet as its next head coach for the Men's and Women's Swim and Dive programs, the athletic department announced Tuesday.

"As we searched for a new head coach for our swimming and diving program, we were dedicated to finding a servant-leader who understood Bethel's mission and values and wanted to lead from a place of being Christ-centered, culture driven, and competitively excellent," said Director of Athletics Jason Lewkowicz. "What we found was we had a strong candidate who already knows what it means to be a Pilot! I look forward to supporting Coach Nuet as she takes over leadership of a program she spent four years being an integral part of as a student-athlete. I believe that she will bring energy, enthusiasm, and a strong work ethic to the role and will set our student-athletes up to thrive as they embark on a new season."

Nuet returns to Bethel after competing for the Pilots for the past four seasons as a student-athlete. During her time in the pool, she was recognized as an NAIA Champion of Character honoree, one of the association's marks of distinction for student-athletes who display the NAIA's five core values of Respect, Integrity, Responsibility, Servant Leadership, and Sportsmanship. Now Nuet steps into the head coaching role for the same program that shaped her college career, bringing a firsthand understanding of Bethel's culture and expectations to the pool deck.

"I am thrilled to come back and give to this school and team that has given me so much," Nuet said. "I am excited to use what I have learned to help build the team's future."
