KANSAS — Samantha Barragan of No. 13 Texas Wesleyan University has been named the KCAC/Sooner Athletic Conference Women's Wrestler of the Week, the KCAC conference office announced Monday. Barragan was selected for her performances from Feb. 2-8 by a vote of the conferences' Sports Information Directors. The KCAC and Sooner merged to one national qualifying group in women's wrestling in 2025-26, and have chosen to honor one Women's Wrestler of the Week between the two conferences. All KCAC Player of the Week honors are presented by
Athletic Solutions.
