KANSAS — Caleb Deal of Kansas Wesleyan University, Isaiah Yehudah of Southwestern College, and Connor Tillman of Friends University have earned this week's KCAC Football Offensive, Defensive, and Special Teams Player of the Week honors, respectively, the conference office announced Monday. The three student-athletes were selected for their performances from Oct. 26-Nov. 1 by a vote of conference sports information directors. All KCAC Player of the Week honors are presented by
Athletic Solutions.
Offensive Player of the Week
Caleb Deal - Kansas Wesleyan University
6-1 | 195 lbs. | Jr. | QB | Frisco, Texas
Deal had a monster game for the Kansas Wesleyan Coyotes in Saturday's contest with KCAC power Friends University. Deal completed 34 of 55 passes for 489 yards and five touchdowns on the day. He completed 61.8 percent of passes. He also added six runs for 11 yards. Deal's play was phenomenal, leading the Coyotes to a near-upset of the Falcons. The 48 points was the most that Friends had surrendered this season. Deal's passing efforts rank him second all-time in single-game passing at KWU. It is just the 10th 400-yard passing game in program history. His 34 completions and 55 attempts also rank in the Top 10 in KWU history in both categories. This is the second time this season Deal has been named the KCAC Football Offensive Player of the Week.
