KANSAS — Asa Johnson of Bethel College and Julianna Maxfield of Tabor College were named the KCAC Cross Country Men's and Women's Runners of the Week, respectively, the conference office announced Tuesday. The two student-athletes were selected for their performances from Sept. 28-Oct. 4 by a vote of conference sports information directors. All KCAC Player of the Week honors are presented by
Athletic Solutions.
Asa Johnson - Bethel College
So. | Lee's Summit, Mo.
Johnson helped the Threshers to a team title at the Muthama-Rogers Classic after winning the individual title by over 10 seconds. His average mile time in the race was 5:24.2.
Julianna Maxfield - Tabor College
Sr. | St. Edward, Neb.
Maxfield had an outstanding race at the Muthama-Rogers Classic on Saturday, running a time of 20:02.60 and finishing second overall, helping the team to a second place overall finish.
