KCAC Announces Leadership Transition

WICHITA, Kan. — The Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference (KCAC) announced Monday that Ted Breidenthal will conclude his time as commissioner of the conference on August 22, 2025, after submitting his resignation last week.  Breidenthal joined the KCAC as commissioner in September 2023 after serving as commissioner of the Continental Athletic Conference from 2008-2023.

"On behalf of the KCAC institutions and their leaders, I want to thank Ted for his guidance and work for our conference and its student-athletes", said KCAC Board of Presidents Chairperson and Bethel College president Jon C. Gering.  "He brought many years of experience to his post, and it showed in the way in which he thought about our functions and interacted with our students, fans, and constituents."

"The members of the KCAC will be working with Ted over the next couple of months to ensure a smooth leadership transition."  Gering indicated that the conference will immediately launch a national search for its next commissioner.
