Warden, Wilson, and Crow Earn KCAC Women's Volleyball Weekly Honors

KANSAS — Katie Warden of No. 6 McPherson College, Keala Wilson of Sterling College, and Darla Crow of Bethel College have earned this week's KCAC Women's Volleyball Attacker, Setter, and Defender of the Week honors, respectively, the conference office announced Monday. The three student-athletes were selected for their performances from Oct. 27-Nov. 2 by a vote of conference sports information directors.
 

Attacker of the Week

Katie Warden - #6 McPherson College

Sr. | OH | Crawford, Texas


Warden totaled 28 kills through two matches, averaging 4.67 kills per set and a .510 hit rate (high of .636 vs Friends). This marks the second time this season Warden has been named the KCAC Women's Volleyball Attacker of the Week.

Setter of the Week

Keala Wilson - Sterling College

Jr. | S | Bennington, Kan.


Wilson was all over the court for the Warriors in their 3-0 sweep of the Braves. From the setter position, she totaled 20 assists (almost seven assists per set), while also leading Sterling in digs with 16 (over 5 digs per set), and came away with five kills and three blocks.

Defender of the Week

Darla Crow - Bethel College

Junior middle blocker Darla Crow anchored Bethel's defense at the net in a 2-0 week for the Threshers. Crow totaled 12 blocks (1.7 per set), while adding 23 kills on .625 hitting, dominating both sides of the net. She posted seven blocks and nine kills against York, followed by five blocks and 14 kills versus Saint Mary.
