2025 KCAC Football All-Conference Selections Announced

KANSAS — The Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference (KCAC) is proud to announce the all-conference teams and individual award winners for the 2025 football season, as voted on by the conference's football head coaches.

Friends University took home the division title in the Franklin "Gene" Bissell Division, with a 5-0 mark in division play as part of an 11-0 overall record. Evangel University secured the title in the Dr. Ted Kessinger Division, going 5-0 in the division and 9-2 overall. 

The Falcons secured several overall conference-level honors, as well as some division-level honors. K'Vonte Baker was named the KCAC Football Player of the Year, with teammate Kyree Watkins being named the KCAC Football Offensive Lineman of the Year. Friends head coach Terry Harrison was named the Coach of the Year in the Bissell Division, as well as the overall conference-level KCAC Football Coach of the Year. Friends offensive coordinator Eric Kelly was a co-honoree of the Bissell Assistant Coach of the Year award, alongside McPherson College defensive coordinator Mitch Leppke and Southwestern College offensive coordinator Ryan Nelson. Kelly was named the overall conference-level KCAC Football Assistant Coach of the Year by the conference's head coaches.

The Valor also took home several individual awards. Zach Myers of Evangel was named the KCAC Football Defensive Player of the Year. Myers was also a co-honoree of the Dr. Ted Kessinger Champion of Character award alongside four other honorees: Christopher Buckhalter of Kansas Wesleyan University, Brysen Kirby of McPherson College, Preston Fansher of Southwestern College, and Mason Cobb of Sterling College.

Evangel won several coaching honors, as well. Chuck Hepola was named the Kessinger Division Coach of the Year, while Evangel defensive coordinator Jeremy Desoto earned the Kessinger Assistant Coach of the Year honor.

The final two remaining individual awards were the KCAC Football Offensive Player of the Year, given to Jalil Brown of McPherson College, and the KCAC Football Special Teams Player of the Year, awarded to Joe Smyth of Southwestern.
