Domena, Collins, and King Earn KCAC Football Weekly Honors

KANSAS — D'Heaven Domena and Taylor Collins, both of (RV) Kansas Wesleyan University, and A.J. King of Tabor College have earned this week's KCAC Football Offensive, Defensive, and Special Teams Player of the Week honors, respectively, the conference office announced Monday. The three student-athletes were selected for their performances from Nov. 3-9 by a vote of conference sports information directors. All KCAC Player of the Week honors are presented by Athletic Solutions.
 
 

Offensive Player of the Week

D'Heaven Domena - (RV) Kansas Wesleyan University

5-10 | 205 lbs. | Sr. | RB | Charlotte, N.C.

Domena had a spectacular day for the Coyotes as KWU upset No. 18 ranked McPherson 20-17. He ran 32 times for 147 yards in the game and added two receptions for 32 yards and one touchdown. His touchdown catch was the game-winning catch with 57 seconds left in the game. This marks the second time this season Domena has been named the KCAC Football Offensive Player of the Week.

Defensive Player of the Week

Taylor Collins - (RV) Kansas Wesleyan University

5-11 | 180 lbs. | Jr. | DB | Lavon, Texas

Collins was a big part of KWU limiting McPherson's offense on the day. He had two tackles in the game. His biggest defensive play was recovering a fumble and returning it 38 yards for a touchdown.

Special Teams Player of the Week

A.J. King - Tabor College

5-10 | 170 lbs. | JR. | WR/PR | Wichita, Kan.

King had an outstanding game on Saturday in Tabor's win over Bethany on the road, recording 146 receiving yards on seven catches for an average of 20.9 yards per catch, and scoring three receiving touchdowns. He had a longest reception of 56 yards, and recorded five rushing yards on two carries. The other most impressive part about King is that he returned a 92-yard punt return to the house for a touchdown, bringing his touchdown total to four on the day. In total, he recorded 115 punt return yards and 266 all-purpose yards.
