WICHITA, Kan. — The Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference is pleased to announce the 2023-24 KCAC Men's Basketball all-conference teams and award winners. Student-athletes were selected for all awards by vote of the KCAC head men's basketball coaches.
Oklahoma Wesleyan University took home the regular-season conference title for the third consecutive season, with a 20-2 record in conference play, as part of a 26-2 overall record. The Eagles' success was reflected by two members of the program taking home individual awards.
The Eagles' DJ Talton Jr. was named the conference's Defensive Player of the Year for the second season in a row. Talton leads the KCAC and the NAIA in steals per game (3.9). Donnie Bostwick, Oklahoma Wesleyan's head coach, was named the KCAC Men's Basketball Coach of the Year by his peers.
Cevin Clark of Southwestern College was named the KCAC Men's Basketball Player of the Year. Clark leads the NAIA and the conference with 26.5 points per game.
The KCAC Men's Basketball Newcomer of the Year award went to Collin Storr of McPherson College. Storr ranks second in the conference and 13th in the NAIA in rebounds per game (10.2), and averaged a double-double on the season by also scoring 15.3 points per game (ranks 11th in the KCAC).
Angok Anyang of Ottawa University was named the KCAC Men's Basketball Freshman of the Year. Anyang averaged 9.5 points per game on 58.8% shooting from the field, while also averaging 9.8 rebounds per game. His rebounds per game rank third in the conference and his field-goal percentage ranks fifth in the conference.
The following athletes were selected by the conference men's basketball coaches as All-KCAC First Team, Second Team, Third Team, Honorable Mention, Defensive Team, and Freshman Team.
