KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Jakobi Spence of Sterling College was named the NAIA Football Special Teams Player of the Week, the national office announced on Monday. Earlier on Monday, Spence was named the KCAC Football Special Teams Player of the Week. In both instances, Spence was recognized for his performance from Oct. 28-Nov. 3.

Adrian Parsons - No. 8 MidAmerica Nazarene University (Kan.)
6-2 | 170 lbs. | Sr. | QB | El Paso, Texas
Parsons threw for 374 yards and five touchdowns (including two in the 4th quarter: one when trailing and one when tied in the final minute) in MNU's one-point victory over then-No. 7 Benedictine.

Shaw stifled the Yotes offense with 19 total tackles and 2 tackles for loss in the Mounties 30-24 victory over #24 College of Idaho. Shaw also recovered two fumbles, one of which sealed the game with less then a minute remaining.

Spence was a difference maker on Saturday. He blocked an extra point early on and then blocked what would have been a game-winning FG with 10 seconds to play, sealing the win for Sterling. He averaged over 25 yards per kick return. Defensively, he led the team in tackles, had an interception and 2 breakups.
