Defensive Player of the Week
Trevon Miller - #18 Avila University
6-1 | 165 lbs. | Sr. | DB | Matthews, N.C.
Once Avila rallied to take a lead on Bethany in the second quarter of the season opener, safety Trevon Miller made a couple of drive-killing interceptions deep inside his own territory to help keep Avila in front. Miller picked off both Peyton Mainolfi and Landry Shields at the Avila 7-yard line and returned the two snags for a total of 129 yards. He also added in five tackles including a TFL - all in a night's work for the former cornerback.
